NYPD arrests employee suspected of shooting boss on Upper West Side, then escaping on subway

Cops have arrested an employee of an Upper West Side computer services company suspected of shooting and wounding his boss, who then sent train commuters cowering under subway seats as he entered a nearby subway station during his breakneck escape.
Members of the NYPD Warrant Squad picked up the suspect early Friday. His name was not immediately disclosed.
The shooter is accused of opening fire on his 47-year-old supervisor near the corner of W. 69th St. and Columbus Ave. — about three blocks from Lincoln Center — around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, hitting his victim in the leg and shoulder.
The two men worked steps away from where the shooting occurred.
EMS rushed the wounded victim to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was treated for a minor injury.
The gunman ran to the 72nd St. C/B/A station at Central Park West, where he jumped down onto the tracks and briefly hid under an idling C train, police sources said.
Fearing that the gunman was on the train, commuters were told to cower onto the floor as police searched each subway car.
“My super pleasant subway ride to work this morning!! Love the C train!!!” X user Joyceepoo posted Friday with pictures of people trying to hide under subway seats. “Nothing like an active gunman on the train to wake you up for the day!”
Train riders were ultimately told to evacuate the train and walked through the tunnel to the nearest train platform. During the chaos, the gunman continued on down the tunnel to the next station.
Charges against the accused gunman were pending Friday.
